I have always been an admirer of good design. Whether it be a unique doorknob, a pergola dripping with Wisteria or the perfect set of aged rocking chairs on the front porch, I love the details.
It’s the details that make a house a home, that make a moment a memory.
My love for design has put me through 2 long home renovations, endless perusing of interior design books, constant inspiration photos from my travels and knowing that it’s the little touches that make all the difference. This doesn’t just apply to a home, it also is important in your community. It’s those little events, the small boutiques, the friendly faces that you are surrounded by that make you feel at home in your town. The Connecticut shoreline is a special place in this way. It makes you slow down a little and enjoy the natural beauty surrounding you. Whether it’s hiking in the woods, walking along the water or strolling through one of the charming downtowns.
As a lifelong Connecticut resident with the last 20 years spent living in the town of Madison, I started this site to help share some of the special places that inspire me, my home and my garden.
